TU Braunschweig: IPROM - Institut für Produktionsmesstechnik (P)
The instute is part of the TU Braunschweig and is led by Prof. Rainer Tutsch. Activities include:
Optical 3D measurment technology using close-range photogrammetry and structured light
Microphotogrammetry using a single camera with integrated illumination
Image processing
The Engineering Geodesy Group is part of the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien).
Engineering geodesy deals with diverse tasks in construction (e.g. tunnel and rail track alignment) and manufacture (e.g. aircraft part assembly and robot calibration)
Manufacturer of specialist optical measurement systems, in particular offering:
- Projection systems
- Close-range photogrammetric software handling both images and prjected patterns
ULM: ILM - Institut für Lasertechnologien in der Medizin und Meßtechnik (P)
The ILM is part of Ulm University and conducts research in selected areas of photonics / optics . Developed technologies are transferred to industrial and medical practice. One area of interest is in 3D surface scanning.
The company was formed in 2019 by the acquisition of US company Leap Motion by UK company Ultrahaptics.
This brought together two technologies: haptics and hand tracking.
