The IPB, also called StachnissLab, is part of the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation at the University of Bonn and lead by Prof. Cyrill Stachniss (status 2020).
The lab has a general photogrammetric focus which also includes application areas such as:
- mobile robotics
- 2D and 3D simultaneous localization and mapping
- autonomous navigation and exploration
- computer-controlled cars
