The SENAI Institute of Innovation in Sensing Systems, ISI SIM, is a private research institute that develops RD&I projects. The ISI SIM is part of the network of innovation and technology institutes under the SENAI Program of Support to the Competitiveness of Brazilian Industry, coordinated by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).
The institute works with great competence in the areas of digitalization, advanced manufacturing, smart cities & mobility, smart factories, energy, sustainability and bioeconomy and health-care. Currently, there are more than 30 masters of science and 20 doctors - which provides considerable knowledge in applied research to our projects.
Our structure also counts with a metrology lab that provides services to the industry. The lab works with calibration of coordinate measure machine of low uncertainty and lasers for 3D-scanning. These qualifications makes us one of the main references in 3D metrology in Brazil.
ISI SIM Director
PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UFSC, Vitor Nardelli has industrial and academic experience in the area of Dimensional Metrology, Industrial Quality Assurance, Geometric Specification of Products and Metrology for Large Volumes. He acts as director in ISI SIM - providing research guidance and coordination of cooperation projects with the brazilian industry.
