Our nTopology software offering enables us to engage directly with CAD OEM’s, Additive OEM’s and design teams looking to optimise their design process, by introducing generative capabilities to overcome the complexities of advanced additive manufacturing, considering; light weighting, field driven data design and complex lattice material structures.
In association with CMM’s we are a UK partner to Perceptron owned Coord3. Coord3 boasts a range of measuring machines that includes over 35 automatic and manual models. We are UKAS Accredited to perform ISO10360-12:2016 on CMM’s and all makes of portable measuring arms.
Since 2005 our Strategic level partnership with Creaform means we can cover a vast spectrum of design and manufacturing applications, with their handheld scanners tactile probing, and photogrammetry solutions, the HandySCAN3D, Go!Scan3D MetraSCAN3D and MaxSHOT3D, providing point cloud data capture for 3D printing, reverse engineering and quality control.
Our partnership with Virtek Vision’s Iris 3D, means we can now also support the production and build processes for composite lay-up, fabrication, and guided assembly, projecting laser templates exponentially faster with innovative vision technology with laser projection in one system.

Off Site Or On Site?
Given the lightweight and portable nature of our Creaform scanners, we’re able to work directly with your team on-site or accommodate your components at our Derby centre.
MSL engineers can come to your facility anywhere in the UK to assist in removing measurement bottlenecks or by providing a new resource to your team.
These lightweight scanners are powerful tools for contract measurement, enabling us to give you accurate, repeatable results quickly.
Alternatively, you’re able to take advantage of our central facility in Derby for high volume or multi-part measurement that requires a CMM or Automated Quality Control solutions such as the Cube-R.
Training Programs To Meet Your Needs
Whether you’re a novice CMM programmer, or new to point cloud and mesh preparation for inspection, reverse engineering, or additive manufacture design, MSL offers several training programs to meet your needs.
Our training programs are designed in collaboration with our OEM partners, whether that be classroom-based training, or web based training, we remain flexible, and are always prepared to adapt to the specific needs of the participants, join us at either our Silverstone or Derby training facility.
In 2023 we celebrate 25 years of being in business and there have been some significant changes in the last few years, take a look at some highlights from MSL at MACH Exhibition 2022 to see how far we have come! MSL is still very much a measurement company, but with the Creaform technology, in particular, laser scanning and more recently the partnership with next-generation engineering design software from nTopology the design process is now very much part of our core business. With the new rebrand the different areas of the business are now categorised into DESIGN | MANUFACTURE | INSPECT all of which are elements of the overall MSL brand, they will be the building blocks for us moving forwards as a business.
